TitanCon is a fan convention, run by the fans and for the fans. Everyone that helps, including the organising committee, are volunteers who give up their own time to ensure things run smoothly on the day. TitanCon cannot exist without the help and support of a dedicated group of volunteers, and therefore we need your help for TitanCon 2022.
With a bigger convention like this, it would be great to get more people on board in advance, to help out with all of the things we need to do to make the convention happen. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow fans, join our TitanCommunity, and gain some valuable experience in con-running (which also looks great on your resume!)
We’ll update this page with more info about which roles we’re especially trying to recruit for, but sometimes it’s best to fit the task to the person – so let us know what you want to do! Please fill in the form below, and we’ll contact you soon.
During the convention itself, there’ll also be lots of things to do. Here are some examples:
- Move in and set up
- Resetting rooms (e.g. clearing seats away or setting them out)
- Working on our Registration and Information Desk
- Working in the Green Room to support our Programme
- Operating our Audio/Visual Tech
- Helping with the Dealers’ Room
- Helping with the Merchandise Desk
- Moving Out
Volunteering can sometimes sound like a boring thing to do but it’s actually great fun. There’s the satisfaction of being part of the team that makes TitanCon happen, a chance to see how things work behind the scenes, and opportunities to have a say in the future of the convention.
And remember – volunteering is not signing away your weekend! Just having someone help out for an hour or two over the weekend makes a huge difference to us.
