Dublin WorldCon 2019 Logo

Welcome! We are thrilled to be hosting Titancon 2019: The Eurocon on the banks of the river Lagan, close to St George’s Market and the Titanic Quarter, in historic Belfast - Lonely Planet's number one region to visit in 2018!

Memberships are now on sale - click here for further information!

We are delighted to be welcoming folks to Belfast from Thursday 22nd August to Sunday 25th August, just a few days after Dublin 2019 - an Irish Worldcon closes its big doors. Whether you are a Worldcon attendee who has extended their trip to enjoy more of the island and its legendary culture, or someone coming solely to Belfast and TitanCon, we extend you our warmest hospitality and invite you to relax and enjoy the vibrancy of one of Europe's most dynamically developing cities.

Our main HQ is the Hilton hotel, its lovely gardens, and riverside walk. We will also use the Studio in the Waterfront for the bigger programme items - see our venue page for more details.

We will be using the Visit Belfast accommodation booking system which will give access to the range of accommodation options available, from the plushest of Belfast hotels, to the most amenable and friendly hostels. Why not consider Belfast's traditional BnBs and start your day with a home cooked Ulster Fry for breakfast? Check out our accommodation page for more, and watch social media @TitanConBelfast for updates.

TitanCon offers a rich, diverse, and interesting programme of events. Over the last few years we have developed from our A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones shadow birth into a broad convention, which offers strong literature and media focused programming as well as skilled workshops, gaming, art, and your dealer's stalls - and a whole bucket of fun :)

Eurocon will follow this model, offering great programming featuring local and visiting participants, workshops, traditional crafts, and reenactment activities as well as a community day on Sunday, which will feature a medieval-styled TitanCon feast and our much loved coach tour of the Giants Causeway and Game of Thrones filming locations.

Programming will start at approximately 3pm on Thursday and finish at approximately 6pm on Saturday, with evening entertainments planned on Thursday and Friday. There is no programming planned for Sunday other than the coach tour and Feast.

As well as biting our tongues until we are able to make further guest announcements, we are stoked to be welcoming back many of our past guests and featured programme participants - although we will be giving Ian McDonald a bit of a rest as he might be a bit tired from his stint as Guest of Honour for Dublin 2019 - an Irish Worldcon.

Your convention needs you! Whether you are a TitanCon regular, a Eurocon stalwart or new to fannish conventions; a resident of Northern Ireland, popping up from the South, or over from further afield - we've jobs for all. Please fill out the form on the volunteers page, or talk to us on volunteers@titancon.com to take the conversation further and receive thanks.
