TitanCon Coach Tour 2015

Visiting Larrybane Quarry (Renly's Camp in season two) on the TitanCon 2015 Coach Tour.

When TitanCon first started in 2011 the Game of Thrones tourist industry in Belfast was nonexistent and we were the first to offer a coach tour visiting Game of Thrones filming locations around Northern Ireland. It's a different story six years on and there are several businesses offering daily coach tours. We love the fact that fans have so much choice now and for anyone staying in Belfast for a few extra days we hope you'll take a tour and see more of this beautiful country.

The TitanCon Coach Tour is different to the others - firstly we are a not-for-profit organisation and therefore our ticket prices are at cost price. Secondly our tour is a one off experience, we only do one coach tour a year and each year is a different route visiting different locations. Lastly it's a really big fun group of people that attend making the event truly special with full drunken singalongs on the way home. You'll have a great time!

Overview of the 2017 Tour

We will start this year by visiting the Game of Thrones tapestry - a marvel of handiwork, made in the style of the famous tapestry from Bayeux. We then continue to Downhill Beach, a beautiful coastal location which belies the darkness and terror of Melisandre’s burning of the Seven at Dragonstone. Dunluce Castle, our next stop, will be more familiar with Game of Thrones viewers as the harbours of Pyke, where Theon returned from Winterfell, to unknowingly meet his sister Yara. After we arrive and use the facilities at Carnfunnock Country Park, smaller groups will be able to take the traditional Phil Lowles 10 minute walk (which is actually a 3 mile round trip) and see the carved door up at Ballygally Castle Hotel.

We then invite everyone to join us in a delicious outdoor feast and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Carnfunnock. Please bring lunch, warm/waterproof clothes and your choice of liquid refreshment for the feast, as this wonderful rural location is exposed to the elements. The usual coach hijinks will ensue, with programming, storytelling, multiple goat misidentifications and our signature lullaby of Bohemian Rhapsody as we arrive back into the Wellington Park. The coach will also call at Belfast City airport on the way back, for those wishing to be dropped off to catch an evening flight.

We are very grateful to Pebble for organising this year’s Coach Tour and Feast.

We will be running a single coach this year due to the smaller size of the convention, and have a maximum of 43 tickets for sale, first come first served, at a price of £36 each. If we receive more than 43 applications, we will maintain a waiting list in case of withdrawals.

If you would like to book a place (or places) on the Coach Tour, please contact Pebble by mailing coach_tour@titancon.com, stating how many places you want and who for. You need to be a member of Titancon 2017 to come on the Coach Tour.

Once your booking is accepted, Pebble will email you with payment instructions. Your place will be definitively confirmed once payment is received.

Please book promptly - this not only ensures your place on the tour, but gives the convention additional financial security.

Update as of 4 September

A small number of Coach Tour places have become available due to cancellations and withdrawals. If you would like to go in the tour, please contact Pebble by mailing coach_tour@titancon.com, stating how many places you want and who for. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
