Our Game of Thrones programming line-up comprises:

Opening Ceremony

Time: 9.45 am
Room: King's Landing

Game of Thrones fans will want to make sure they are on time for the start of TitanCon with our Opening Ceremony because this will probably be the only opportunity to see all of our Game of Thrones guests on stage together during the day. We'll allow a few minutes for TitanCon attendees to take pictures of the cast and crew members together before we launch into the first panels of the day.

Game of Thrones discussion panels

One big change we are making this year is that our main panels will be held in the Europa Exhibition Hall (King's Landing as we call it) with the gaming and dealers up in the Library Bar (Winterfell). So the good news is we will have a much larger seating capacity for the Game of Thrones panels. We also intend to have microphones available for the audience to ask questions to the panelists.

Our Game of Thrones discussion panels are subject to a strict no-spoilers policy. Audience members may ask about anything from the first two seasons of the TV show or the first two books of the series but anything from the third book onwards should not be mentioned in these panels.

We also caution TitanCon members to avoid asking questions about future events of the TV show because the cast members have been forbidden by HBO from talking about it. At all. Seriously they can't say a word and we tried really hard to get even a little hint out of them last year and got absolutely nothing for our troubles.

Please remember that some audience members have not read the books and are only going to watch the TV show so please be mindful about what you say regarding future events. This is one story you really don't want to have spoiled for you so please be careful. Offenders that cannot adhere to this rule and persist in breaking it will be asked to leave the convention. Please read our Code of Conduct for more information.

To give you an idea of what to expect here is a video of one of our Game of Thrones panels from last year. You can find the other parts of this video on YouTube along with some videos of other panels and workshops from TitanCon 2011.

The Nature of Power - a review of season two

Panel: Ron Donachie ~ Rodrik Cassel, Miltos Yerolemou ~ Syrio Forel, Emma Andrews ~ Drapes department and Peadar Ó Guilín (mod)
Time: 10.00 am
Room: King's Landing

The nature of power was such a theme throughout the second season that it makes it a good way to review what happened during the season and discuss who holds the real power in Westeros.

Locations - Filming in Belfast and Northern Ireland

Panel: Ian McElhinney ~ Barristan Selmy, Aimee Richardson ~ Myrcella Baratheon, William Simpson ~ Storyboard artist and Ian McDonald (mod)
Time: 11.00 am
Room: King's Landing

Four Belfast locals discuss what it means to shoot Game of Thrones right here in their home of Northern Ireland. How useful has it been for William Simpson to storyboard locations he has previously visited, and what does it mean to Aimee to get her first big acting break on this show so close to where she grew up.

Weapons of War

Guests: Ian McElhinney ~ Barristan Selmy, Miltos Yerolemou ~ Syrio Forel, William Simpson ~ Storyboard artist and Leigh Bardugo (mod)
Time: 2.00 pm
Room: King's Landing

William Simpson, the storyboard artist for Game of Thrones, also sketches the designs for the swords, armour and props used in the show. This panel will focus on these incredible details including the swords used by Miltos and Ian, and that beautiful Kingsguard armour Ian wore (then removed so dramatically) in season one.

Children on Set

Guests: Ron Donachie ~ Rodrik Cassel, Aimee Richardson ~ Myrcella Baratheon, Callum Wharry ~ Tommen Baratheon and Peadar Ó Guilín (mod)
Time: 3.00 pm
Room: King's Landing

What are the challenges for children working on a TV show like Game of Thrones. How do they keep up with schoolwork, and for adult actors what is it like to work with such young talented actors?

Game of Thrones Photo session B

Guests: Ian McElhinney ~ Barristan Selmy, Aimee Richardson ~ Myrcella Baratheon and William Simpson ~ Storyboard artist
Time: 10.00 am
Room: The Eyrie

Game of Thrones Photo session A

TitanCon 2011 guest photo session

TitanCon 2011 guest photo session, (from l-r) William Simpson, Sophie Turner, Art Parkinson, Maisie Williams, JacMac (volunteer working in our guest liaison team at TitanCon 2011), Kristian Nairn and Miltos Yerolemou. Photo taken by Jim Corr.

We are pleased to announce that professional photographer Jim Corr will be with us again to take pictures of TitanCon members with our Game of Thrones guests. Originally we had planned to have a second photographer and another room but with the lower turnout of guests we have abandoned that plan and saved ourselves a needless expense by cancelling the booking for the Riverrun room (more commonly known as Copenhagen 2).

We will be charging a fee of £10 per photograph.

Tickets can be purchased at a table inside King's Landing (Exhibition Centre) on Saturday morning from 9.00 am - 9.45 am, and then from 10.00 am onwards in Winterfell (Library Bar). The tickets will have a time printed on them for when you need to come upstairs to get your photo taken. The times are every 15 minutes (10.00, 10.15, 10.30, 10.45). There will be 40 tickets available for each 15 minute slot, 160 total for the hour. TitanCon members can purchase tickets for both sessions at a cost of £20 or just one session at £10. Please do not be late for your photo slot otherwise we cannot guarantee fitting you in.

Water Dancing Live! With Syrio Forel. Just so.

Run by: Miltos Yerolemou and Johannah Playford
Time: 12.00 pm
Room: King's Landing

Miltos Yerolemou and stunt coordinator Johannah Playford will once again be putting prospective new Water Dancer recruits through their paces in this exciting workshop.

Dothraki Jewellery Workshop

Run by: Emma Andrews
Time: 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm
Room: The Dragonpit

We're offering the opportunity for ten lucky fans to sit down with Emma Andrews, one of the talented Game of Thrones artisans and create your very own piece of Dothraki jewellery. All the materials will be provided for you including wooden beads and real horse hair from Emma's own horses to string it all together.

We will have a table at the back of King's Landing (Exhibition Centre) where you can register your interest in joining the Dothraki Jewellery Workshop. This is done by writing your name on a slip of paper which is placed into a box. We can only accept one entry per person. We will draw out ten people for each workshop (20 total) at random and announce who the lucky people are. This draw takes place at 1.00 pm on the main stage, right after the Water Dancing Workshop in King's Landing, just before the lunch break. You will then be given a sticker for your name badge which gets you into the workshop.

This is the only fair way to choose who gets to take part in this limited space workshop without the online sign up we had originally planned.

Game of Thrones Round Table

Time: 2.00 pm, 2.30 pm, 3.00 pm and 3.30 pm
Room: The Eyrie

We are offering a very special opportunity for ten lucky fans to sit down at a round table with one or two Game of Thrones cast members for a private and informal chat. A chance for the fans to really get to know the actors and a chance for them to get to know the fans.

We will have a table at the back of King's Landing (Exhibition Centre) where you can register your interest in joining a specific Round Table session. This is done by writing your name on a slip of paper which is placed into one of four boxes. We can only accept one entry per person. We will draw out ten people for each Round Table session (40 total) at random and announce who the lucky people are.

Game of Thrones signing session

Time: 4.00 pm - 6.00 pm
Room: The Eyrie

It is our intention to not charge for guest autographs during the two hour signing session. However, should we fall short of our membership sales targets we will regretfully be forced to charge an additional fee for autographs. We'll keep you posted on how things are going and if it should be necessary we'll provide full clear details on what the charges will be.

If you had photographs taken with the cast members during the morning photo sessions then these will be available for pick up in Riverrun - the queue will pass through this room so you can just pick them up once you reach this point of the line. We will also have a selection of glossy 8x10 prints available for sale at £2.00 each.

Our assumption is that most people will want to get their photos, glossy 8x10 prints, books or season 1 DVD/Blu-Ray's signed, but if you have a poster, a t-shirt, a kindle cover or whatever I'm sure our guests will be happy to sign it for you. Or you could get your TitanCon programme signed if you have nothing else to bring. Due to time constraints we will be imposing a limit of TWO items that you can get signed by each guest in turn. However you may queue up as many times as you wish for as long as the signing session lasts.

Please note that the queue for the signing session will go up some stairs. Please take care while queueing on the stairs. Alternative arrangements are available for disabled or infirm TitanCon members.

Game of Thrones Extras

Time: 5.00 pm
Room: Castle Black

A television show like Game of Thrones would be impossible to produce without the hard work of hundreds of dedicated extras. People prepared to grow beards and go months without cutting their hair just so they have the right look. People willing to get dressed up in any kind of clothing, be it heavy armour or something with little protection from the elements while they are outside for days at a time in the worst imaginable weather, repeatedly doing the same thing over and over again until the director decides he has enough footage.

In the Extras panel we will salute the hard work and sacrifice of the Game of Thrones extras as they relate their experience of working on the first and second seasons of the show and provide real insight into what it takes to be an extra. Back in July 2011 over two thousand people turned up for the ExtrasNI casting session and if any of those people would like some advice on how to become an extra themselves this panel may just have the answers.

Game of Thrones Spoiler discussion

Time: 8.15 pm
Room: Castle Black

At TitanCon last year we had an impromptu A Dance With Dragons spoiler discussion in the bar which proved very popular, in fact we had requests to do something like it again. So this year we're going to have a Game of Thrones spoiler discussion in which fans can talk openly about the future direction of the TV show in relation to all published books and known theories.

None of our guests can join in with this for obvious reasons and there won't be a panel as such. Instead it will remain more like a chat in a pub where anyone can offer an idea or opinion for the room to discuss. Enthusiastic volunteer Misha will again be chairing the discussion so it should be a lot of chaotic nerdy fun.

This discussion panel will be the only one of the day where spoilers will be allowed. If you have not read up to the end of the fifth book, A Dance With Dragons, then please do NOT attend this panel. Full and open discussion about anything and everything is permitted. This will spoil the story for you and I guarantee you will regret it if that happens. Consider yourselves warned.
